I wanted to mention to you that I am going to the Alameda Flea Market this weekend and I am so excited. I have been planning this for months and I don’t leave till tomorrow but I am completely packed and wondering if I should just to the airport now. I am just a little excited!!!!!

How lovely that you can be with your daughter at such a special time, thinking of you both and praying for safe delivery. Loved the quilts, and how fortunate you can photograph these wonderful artistic pieces to share with us in blogland. Often in UK we are not allowed to take pix in museums. Thank you for sharing.

the nursery is pretty. You are rich to have a daughter who

Oh, I am waiting with you, too! I can hardly wait to hear that the new little one is here. I know how wonderful it is for your daughter to have you right there with her for the birth of her first baby. And I love all the buttons on the curtains. And those amazing quilts. I was thinking about all the work and the hours you talked about to create such masterpieces, and suddenly I switched in my mind from quilts to children, thinking about the hours of a lifetime that it takes to make a baby, and raise a child, and then sit with that child when she is grown, waiting for HER baby to be born . . . How wonderful for your daughter to have you with her. Those last few days are so filled with anticipation and longing..
Funny that you watched Gone With the Wind. That movie had so many quotable lines. It did occur to me that that line of Butterfly McQueen was extremely apt….”I know nothing about birthing babies, Miz Scarlett”.
It is a blesssed time for both of you.
