This is my favorite time of year. I also begin to reflect and feel a need for anchoring my life to some sort of weight. I miss this ritual of thinking and writing in this space. My life these days is bonded to another commitment, a creative and challenging one, but full of inspiration and fun. It consumes any time I have for blogging beyond this focus.
When we light candles in our homes, there is an immediate sense of comfort, of slowing down, and allowing our thoughts to meander and bounce around. Then as if in a kind of meditative state, the candles and the peace of the moment bring us to that stillness and quiet again.
I miss all of you, and think of you and wonder how you are all doing. Sometime, I will get back here and post again on a more regular basis. I understand this place so much better than anywhere else.

Hi Phyllis, What a beautifully evocative photograph, evocative of Autumn, the approach of Winter and the festive season, and the beginning of a time of enjoying the comfort of our surroundings while the year begins to end, ready for it all to start again in Spring, the amazing circle of life in progress.
I miss your blogs here, but you other challenges are equally as inspiring, I am glad you are having fun, and shall look forward to visiting you here whenever I get an email telling me that you have posted another thoughtful and inspiring Gem!
All my best as always, Lois xxx
Oh dear Lois,
I need to send you an email. Have not even had a chance to get to my sewing machine. I am on the verge, however, of sewing up some pillows and stockings to sell in my shop and plan to use the beautiful fabrics that I purchased from you. I will be in touch one way or another. I must get over to your site and see what you have again!
