Off to Southern California from Mendocino tomorrow morning to see family. I will be posting at least once or twice while I am gone.
On our way down, we stopped in Redding for one night, south of Mt Shasta, and I went into an antique shop that had the most wonderful garden area in the back filled with gardening pots, iron gates, and even an outdoor iron bed complete with lovely linens. No purchases made, but lots of inspiration to fill my mind.

Have a wonderful time with your family. I like your posts below…your hair looks great…I love the beautiful gray.
I want to write a poem about that bed! I want to sleep in that bed all night, listening to the ocean in that first photo lulling me to sleep. Lovely! Lovely! xo Kari
I have one childhood memory of Redding and Mt Shasta. I’m not sure why we’d gone that way. I remember seeing Mt Shasta and that it was so very hot….
The garden shop looks like it was a fun spot with wonderful ideas and the ocean….well, I just miss California so much!
The salty air and the sand between my toes.
Also, what a fun nursery rhyme print. Those kind of things
remind me of my children when they were small…feels like
ages ago.
You were in my old stomping ground, from way back! We used to live in Dunsmuir when I was a small child, and My Dad told me Mt. Shasta was my mountain! Last time I was up that way was ’97, and I still love that area! What a great shop that looks like! Thanks for sharing…
i really need to get up to that area- Chico to be exact. beautiful shot of the ocean there.ahhh mendicino!
and thanks too, for the lovely note. much appreciated!
You make all your jaunts seem like so much fun! When I drive, I always am unwilling to stop. That is not a good thing and I am trying to break myself of that habit. I enjoy and feel encouraged by reading how you do it and benefit with inspiration by doing it!
