New York City sunset from Central Park
My husband and I returned Monday evening to be greeted by our oldest daughter who had dinner waiting and a glass of wine. How nice to return home to a warm house with the lights on and the cats happy and a special greeting. Usually we arrive home to an cold and dark house and the cats clamoring for food and attention. Our daughter is here in Portland on business for the week. I am still feeling a little worn out and trying to finish getting ready for my sale on Saturday.
I made a cold acquaintance with someone in Central Park. We spent a lot of time walking, visiting a few museums, and going to the opera at the Met on Saturday evening. It was our first time there and an event that was definitely a highlight. I will be posting on a book I read on the trip in a day or two. In the meantime, I need to keep sorting and pricing.

I’m so glad you are home again! I have missed you. That is a very large cold stranger that you met in the park. And you look so beautiful, although a little cold yourself! I hope you will share more of your trip when you have time, and how lovely of your daughter to welcome you home from your trip with dinner, wine, happy cats, and a warm house ~ what more could anyone want? xo Kari
Welcome back!
Welcome home, we have missed your posts but happy you enjoyed your break. You do indeed look beautiful, but your husband looks a bit chilly! All the best for your sale on Saturday, wish I could be there love Valx
Lovely to see you again, looking so fresh & lovely! I am glad you had a wonderful break, but there’s no place like home, how wonderful of your daughter to prepare such a warm welcome. I hope the sale goes well, please take some photos, so I can drool over your gorgeous textiles…. xxx
Welcome home and how lovely that your daughter greeted you with dinner and a glass of wine! I have never seen a sitting snow man…how clever. New York sounds like it was a lot of fun. I love the idea of walking where you need to go and everything being close by. Look forward to hearing about
your adventures and what is new.
welcome home!
I’m so glad you’re back, and what a nice homecoming gift from your daughter! It sounds like you had a wonderful trip…and that’s a lovely photo of you and your “companion”. Good luck with your sale…maybe I don’t want to see any photos of gorgeous fabrics, since I’ve put myself on the wagon and shouldn’t be buying anymore for several lifetimes!! I’ll let Lois take my share!:)

Welcome home and it sounds like you had a fabulous time. Your friend is very fetching.
Hi there,
I like the guy in the park. Match.com? I am on my new computer and it is a Mac. It is a whole new learning jump for me. I have yet to upload my photos for my blog. Maybe today.
I have missed a lot because I only felt comfortable checking emails with the “clunker”. I will get through and hopefully up to speed in short order.
The photos of you are terrific!
You will love your Mac! Glad you are posting again. Your handbag is so beautiful!
