Jeanette is getting help from her bridesmaids with the many buttons and loops down the back of her dress. Tiny and tight, I could not even button a single one. I guess it takes young, agile fingers.
The back of Jeanette’s hair done by her stepsister, Jen.
A very proud mom.
The bride and groom just after the ceremony.
Jeanette, Ben and the groomsmen heading to the reception.
Jeanette and her sister, Linsey on the dancefloor.
Jeanette’s brother, Wes, winding down after the reception.
We are starting the drive back north today. I slept ten hours straight last night. It will be a slow but pleasant recovery sprinkled with memories of this perfect fairy tale wedding.

What wonderful memories!
I guess that is why we go to the work to have a wedding.
Joy and love come through…
With Jeanette having two sets of parents on her side, this comment that you left says so much. It has been a healing process covering many years of an uphill climb to finally get it right.
Just magical! : )
It felt magical. Thank you!
ah, see? all worth it…..
Yes!! It was more than worth it, so much so that I would do it all over again.
Lovely bride, lovely mother-of-the-bride, too! Jeanette’s hair is a work of art, all those beautiful swirls. Weddings always make me think of the Robert Browning couplet that my husband and I have lived by all these years: “Grow old with me. The best is yet to be.” It is such a comfort, especially through the harder times, which have a way of coming even in the best of marriages. But you must be ready to unwind every which way now! xo Kari
I will share this Browning quote with Jeanette. She would love it. How true this is also that inevitably there will hurdles and hills to climb over, but I do believe this is what makes a marriage strong and richer over the years. Thank you, Kari for all your generous and caring comments over the last week in my absence from my blog. It will be good to get back to my routine and some other projects in the works. xo
What a wonderful wedding! Treasured memories, treasured people & treasured lives… xxx
Congratulations! Lovely time was had by all, I can tell from the pictures. Your daughter was a beautiful bride and you look lovely in your dress which came out beautifully. Congrats again to all.
Great pictures – they really show how lovely Jeanette looked. I think well worth all of the effort. So many happy moments that made up the day. I’m lucky to have been a part of it.
Hope to see you soon!
We are lucky you were a part of it! For all the work, support, and guidance, you were there in more ways than you can possibly imagine. Thank you Erin!
How perfectly beautiful Phyllis! The shot of the back of your daughter’s hairdo reminds me of a photo you posted of the back of your head a while back, before you cut your hair. Your beauty is carried forward in your daughter. And your suit is very stylish! Thanks for sharing this part of your life with me.
Thank you Julia. I will be back to other creative work in a few days after I catch up with my life.
