My dress is still not hemmed or ironed. I have put it aside to finish everything else. I am about to sit down and complete this task before I pack and head to the airport. Jeanette is quite sick with a very bad cold. I guess she has worn herself out as the sole wedding planner. I feel confident she will rally for her carefully planned wedding for which she has spent so many months working. Many of her ideas came from wedding blogs!
On Sunday I will post a few pictures as well as visit other blogs that I love to visit. I have been so inundated with various projects that I have not been able to get outside any of this. And now it is almost done. Thank you for your beautiful and warm responses. It is quite overwhelming and nurturing. I will respond to each one when I return here in a few days.

Phyllis,
What a beautiful blog, it brought tears to my eyes. I can’t wait to be able to admire all of your hard work and to finally meet you in person. Great words by Kahlil Gibran. I have found comfort in his sayings during the course of my life.
“When love beckons to you, follow him,
Though his ways are hard and steep.
And when his wings enfold you yield to him,
Though the sword hidden among his pinions may wound you.
And when he speaks to you believe in him,
Though his voice may shatter your dreams
as the north wind lays waste the garden.”
To your beautiful daughter Jeanette and Ben.
Love,
Mar
Mariana, I was so thrilled to see you visited! I can’t wait to meet you, the last one to do so in the family. Yes, I grew up loving Gibran and so did my kids. I remember well the piece you left here. Thank you for such a lovely comment. See you soon! xx
Your dress is very lovely. Perfect for the first step of the journey of a thousand miles. Let the journey begin, happy wedding, safe return! xo Kari
I am beginning to think we have crossed paths in this life or another. Your words are so special and meaningful, Kari.
Oh so elegant! I’m sure it will be a day of much joy and promise…
Wow, you dress is so lovely. The grey is a good choice for “Mother of the Bride”. What an effort it takes to get married. Somehow the thought of “Vegas” always springs to my mind when I hear of the amount of work is involved. How did I get through it? Do you remember? I think we were floating on ether.
I am back to blogging. I have really missed it. The connection has become a part of my daily rountine.
Do enjoy the peacefulness of a new union. Many blessings.
I hope the wedding is wonderful and I love the dress! And most of all I hope the bride is healthy!
Your dress is very beautiful and elegant, like you. Your
daughter is lovely. I wish her a wonderful and magical
wedding day and all of you much joy : )
