Yes, I am finding it harder and harder to post during this season, too. I find I have put several projects on hold until January. I hope to find you here in the coming year and see what you are thinking about and doing. I very much love your beautiful blog and your spirit that shines in every post. xo Kari
Thank you, Kari!
That looks like a priest’s vestment. Or maybe the impression is that because of the involved feeling. I used to study the vestments because they were always so beautiful.. Oh, where was my prayer book?
That fabric is very lovely and what is the story behind it?
I think that this time of year everyone is posting sporadically. We will all take deep breaths and be patient with ourselves.
That fabric is actually a Rubelli and it is not old. I bought it in Florence, Italy when I wandered into a textile shop and could not resist its beauty. It is actually a decorator piece since its weight is heavier than a regular cotton.
just about to call it quits till the end of the year too. so much goes on this time of year. time to enjoy the good company of others…. all the best to you and your family.
The best to you and yours as well. I hope you are surviving the blizzard and have not lost electricity. The pictures are beautiful, but I know the storm has been a difficult one for many.
Yes, same here. Way too busy, and things will have to wait till January. But what is this fabric? Very complex and beautiful. 18th Century?
The fabric is new as of about six years ago. It came from Italy. I think that is why is looks “old world”.
Hope it’s a bike you are on, not a hamster wheel.
As always, joy and peace…
Thanks, Deb. I hope we get a little snow with the holidays, but not the blizzard of the east coast.
What a beautiful piece of fabric to leave us looking at til you return. Walk in beauty into the New Year. XO Julia
What a lovely image…to walk in beauty. Such a nice way to greet the new year and I wish you the same.
Sending warm wishes! : )
Many warm wishes to you as well.
Have a wonderfully happy holiday with your friends and family and can’t wait to be inspired by you in the New Year! Thanks for all the inspiring posts of the past year!
Thank you, Debraann. I wish you the same and am looking forward to your inspiration as well in the coming year.
