I’ve decided to change the emphasis of my blog and will be focusing more on antique textiles and clothing and less on other subjects. Antique textiles have always been a passion and, in fact, was the original reason for starting “mendofleur”. I may occasionally feature a post on famous women, but for those of you who follow my entries on a regular basis, I just wanted to let you know of these changes, so it makes some sense to you.
As information, I have posted a few items on etsy where I intend to sell a few items from my collection, but this blog will focus primarily on the research of textiles and what I find and learn as I develop my collection. I will also feature various show set-ups that I will be doing as time permits.
I will miss your other types of posts, but this makes sense and is a good focus.
There is always the feeling that I might be losing a little bit of soul in this pursuit, but I am hoping this is not the case. I want to incorporate some of my life in the process of exploring this subject. Sewing and evaluation and sharing will be a part of this as well. I welcome any feedback and suggestions as I go along.
i think it is a good focus, and i am sure you can fit some of the soul in there too. you have much to share in your fabric stories. they are a gift.
Thank you for your support. I think it is a good path for me, one I definitely love. Maybe the soul will be there because of the love.
and where is your etsy shop?
I have a lot of work to do on etsy. It is under mendofleur, bare bones beginning, and nothing really old yet. When I return next week I have to get on there and to some construction!
