Farm fresh eggs we purchased at the local pet supply store yesterday (a nice surprise).

My husband and I took a long walk on a beach called “ten mile” in Fort Bragg yesterday, and we spotted a person water skiing in the unusually flat ocean. I had never seen this…the ocean as flat or a person water skiing. It looked like a giant lake.

I spent most of the day in the garden today feeding some roses, clipping the lavender, and watering some pots. When I return the pears should be ready to eat. It is time to return to Oregon and a routine that is different but good.

different but good. this has a great feeling.
Beautiful! Funny too. I’ve been thinking about a family picnic that we had at ten mile a lot lately…even thinking about doing a post about it. Guess I’ll have to do that now.
That blue flowering bush is very lovely. And your own pears, sounds like it calls for a clafouti in the future? so lovely and green. Here it mostly is dry. We are on water rationing.
My next garden will have a lot of fruit trees
I adore pears…I am with Pat a clafouti sounds just the ticket…thanks Pat, you gave me a good idea for a desert next weekend when my parents and two cousins that I have not seen in years come for dinner
Your vacation sounds like a good one…home, however, is always the best.
