I was going to blog about something else tonight, but after reading some of your comments on my last post, I changed my mind immediately. I was so taken by your words, support, and empathy. When I started blogging over a year ago, I never imagined it would be a connection to so many true and caring friends. I only hope that I can return this solace in the months ahead. My other friends are far and few, so these relationships with all of you are very special and meaningful. Thank you again for being there with consistency, strength, humor, and wisdom.
Lovely photo. Makes me want to be there to feel, smell and relish.
i was out at the park down by the sea last night and there was a very elderly woman standing on the corner with a cane and a sign around her neck that said “free hugs” and she was just standing there hugging everyone that let her. that is my story for the day.
Your story is so touching and revealing. This older woman probably had lived long enough to form a valid opinion that the majority of people in the world are sorely in need of hugs, and she was there to accommodate and fulfill some wishes. What a generous and caring gesture. I wonder what her life up to that point had been.
Some of Jude’s pieces bring tears to my eyes they are so lovely. Now I’ve teared up at her beautiful comment to this post.
Both of you must be incredible women and each of you add to my joy every time you post.
Thank you.
