what a great shot . a ring of life under a blue sky.
What a beautiful description…”a ring of life under a blue sky”. I love that.
Oh that looks like fun!
I am sure you have some memories like this in Mendocino from years back.
How lovely just to be with your grandchildren. Not any “special” occasion but just you, the children, the sun and the sea.
It looks glorious to me!
These are the memories that stay when the clouds return to the beach.
It looks gorgeous there! The coastline and beach remind me of Polzeath in Cornwall where we go rockpooling, surfing and sand castle building with my family when time and weather allows! What blissful fun. x
When I think of Cornwall, I think of one of my favorite books, Rebecca by Daphne Du Maurier set on the coast of Cornwall. It must be very beautiful there too.
Have you seen the movie version of Frenchman’s Creek (another Du Maurier book)? It was filmed in Mendocino.
And yes, I do have memories of playing on the beach in Mendocino like that and was thinking about them this morning. I probably have been on the same beach!
I must see that movie. Thank you for recommending it.
Perhaps you were there at this same spot on the beach building other sand castles and dreams since it is the perfect place to engage with those longings.
What a beautiful photo, so colorful and wonderful! Looks like everyone had fun even the photographer!
I had so much fun taking the photos that now my lens will not open. I fear blowing sand. Well it was worth the risk of the camera for a capture of that moment in time.
