Oh Phyllis, You are in the country of my heart! I grew up in Ashland on my grandparent's peach ranch on Highway 99 south of town just before you start heading up into the Siskyous. (It was called "Top o' the Morning Farm.") I spent many happy hours in Lithia Park, jumping from rock to rock around the edges of the lake, feeding swans and ducks. At that time there was a a small zoo up at the very top of the park with a few bedraggled 4 legged creatures and lots of exotic birds in wire net enclosures. I thought this was the most exciting thing in the world. I am not exaggerating, I truly grew up in Paradise, the land of sparkling Lithia waters and sparkling granite rocks under my feet, fairies dancing in glens and meadows, wind singing in pine trees at night outside my window....well I could go on forever. Enjoy your time basking in the love of your beautiful family, in this still beautiful place. Isn't life good? Love, Julia
P.S. I am still working on my Blog site and thank you for your offer for assistance, mostly I just need time to get it all together. Soon, soon.
