Re. your comment on my blog about lace ID, a great American book that is my ‘Bible’ where lace is concerned is: Antique Lace: Identifying Tpes & Techniques by Heather Toomer, published by Schiffer. As far as I know, it is available on Amazon, and well worth investing in, the photos and information are fantastic!
