I realize this is a complete turn around from the spring-blooming hyacinth, but late this afternoon, my husband asked if I wanted to drive up to MT Hood to have a light supper. It is not too far from Portland and one of my favorite places in Oregon, with the exception of Crater Lake. Many times you will go up there and not even see the mountain because it is shrouded by clouds, but today had been a clear day after much rain. We guessed it was a good evening to go. We were not disappointed.

My husband took this photo outside as I was finishing my last few sips of wine. I like the way the icicles frame the mountain in the background.

This last photo was taken as we headed off the mountain. Another ski area in the distance have their lights on for night skiing. I know most everyone is fatigued by winter and ready for warm weather and sunshine and flowers, but this mountain really keeps its mystery and enchantment all year long. Back to textiles and projects tomorrow.
A little fatigued, but not fatigued enough to admire the beauty of the mountain. It looked so peaceful and beautiful and it is near you even better! Happy Spring.
For someone who lives in a cold and wintry climate, that was a generous comment. Spring will be here soon.
Yes I’m a little winter shell shocked but we had a lovely spring day today. And a snow covered mountain is beautiful no matter what season(said like a person who doesn’t live very near a snow covered mountain). The photos evoked a feeling so perhaps I lived near snow covered mountains in a previous lifetime. I really did love the photographs!
