Before I go any further I need to describe the ivory cow. This cow is given beautiful starry eyes made from the beaded trim of the silk brocade jacket that I featured previously. Yes, of course I could have used regular cottons, but I wanted to convey the spirit of an animal that is far too often shrouded in language as common, property, food, commodity, and leather to name a few. I happen to revere and respect all animal life particularly farm animals that I continually witness being treated with abuse and neglect. I wanted this cow to be shown as special, one clothed in silk skin with the eyes of a magical sentient being.
The lady dressed in finery offered her worn and precious attire to what had been defined as the common cow, and in this way she brought the eyes of the world to another way of seeing.
